SEO (Search Engine Optimization) & PPC (Pay Per Click) are two ways to boost your business growth. Both are a part of SEM (Search Engine Marketing) & known for getting traffic to your website. One can say that SEO is free because you can’t pay to get on the top of page but you only pay for SEO Services to other companies who do SEO if you can’t do at your end & PPC is paid because you have to pay for every click on your Ad. Many of the companies are in dilemma of Which One is Best Organic SEO or PPC? for their company to grow or getting customers to expand their business. Here are some features & limitations for both:

1. Time

SEO
Beware of the companies who guarantee top page ranking of your side because Google has clearly aware users not to choose a company who guarantee rankings. Google also said to be aware of the companies who guarantee top page rankings off the heel. SEO needs time; it takes months to show on top of search engines, but the effects are long term.
PPC
It displays immediate results on search engines. It allows you to climb into the market & starts creating customers.
Bottom Line
  • SEO: Feasible to those who wants permanent result in search engines & must have patience because SEO wants time, but it will show you permanent result for a long period of time.
  • PPC: Feasible to those who wants immediate results & wanted to jump up in the market.

2. Budget

SEO
As earlier discussed SEO is absolutely free, you don’t have to pay a single penny to get traffic for your website until and unless you select a company who does SEO on your behalf. You will only pay the amount which company wanted to do your SEO. Once you website is in top of search engines then it will stay there at long period of time.
PPC
Pay Per Click (PPC) is not free but you only pay when someone clicks on your ad not for an impression. You can also set your daily budget, you can’t charge more than you daily budget.
Bottom Line:
  • SEO: Feasible to those who doesn’t want to spend any penny to get traffic. If you don’t know SEO then you have select a company who does SEO on your behalf & you have to pay for SEO services as they wanted.
  • PPC: Feasible to those who doesn’t care about the amount but only wants immediate results in top of search engines.

3. Ranking

SEO
On Google blog, they said that aware of the companies who guarantee rankings. Google start penalized sites that have duplicate content, not rich content & many factors. Search Engine Optimization takes months to get on top of search engines but the effects are long term unlike PPC.
PPC
Pay Per Click also known as Cost Per Click, their ranking depends upon the bid you have set. If you want top ranking then you want to set bid higher. PPC ranking are not long term like SEO, your website is only shown on top of search engine if you pay higher than others.
Bottom Line:
  • SEO: Feasible to those who wants want first page ranking for long term with no cost but you need to spend lots of work & to be patience.
  • PPC: Feasible to those who wants top ranking with no time but you have to incur cost for each & every click.

4. Work Load

SEO
It’s no doubt SEO is free but it takes lots of work load to optimize you site according to search engines. As Google Penguin & Panda update, SEO is not a easy process to do, it takes months to get on first page of search engines. Unlike previously, SEO process is not for everyone it can be handle by SEO experts who have better understanding of both Onpage Optimization & Offpage Optimization. Yes, it is best known for long term result but if you are ready to work for months.
PPC
PPC also takes lots of work from you but not equal to SEO. It shows an immediate result, means you are able to see your work in a hurry.
Bottom Line:
  • SEO: Feasible to those who are ready to take lots of work but it takes months to show on top of search engines.
  • PPC: Feasible to those who are ready to pay for a click rather to take extra work load or time.

The Bottom Line of whole discussion is:
The bottom line is that you must use both PPC & SEO together. PPC gets you faster results & tells you which keyword is better performing so you can optimize your site for SEO for those keywords.
If you only want to use one of them then make your goals first like whether you able to spend much time on SEO & wait for months to show long term results or you have enough budgets to spend on PPC.
Choosing SEO or PPC is depends on your goal, both are best at their own part.

The graph shows you how PPC & SEO takes effect when time & cost spend on these two. Suppose you have spent money on both SEO & PPC.

For SEO : Your website can’t  be find by anyone in initial phases but when time increase your website exposure also increases slowly & a time comes when anyone can see your website. Suppose you have 6 month contract with your SEO Service provider. Your website ranking will increase day by day & a time comes when your website is on top of search engines. As you can see that your website is also visible to anyone after 6 months.

For PPC : A proper ad worked out on this advertising model which gives maximum chances of displaying your ad right from the time you start spending till the time u spend.

Is Google Testing The Penguin 4.0 Algorithm?

I think we are on the verge of seeing Penguin 4.0 launch soon at Google - I think we are just about there. I know, I know, it's been a while. I have seen some chatter in the industry, on and off chatter, over the past 12 hours or so, that people are noticing some drastic changes with the Google search rankings on and off. It can be nothing, it can be a blip, it can be a different algorithm or it can be people making stuff up - but it also can be Google testing Penguin 4.0 to a limited set of searchers. The folks at WebmasterWorld over the past 12 hours or so have been asking about it: JS Harris, a senior Webmaster World member said: I have a small list of 10 distinct keywords for my site that I check when I wonder if a major update has occurred. The bottom few results on page one generally come and go but the top spots stay immortal. They stay there, that is, until there is a major update. I'm only ever mildly surprised when I see a would be con...

Google Earnings Report Shows New AdWords Ad Format Increased Click Through Rates

Google announced their Q2 earnings last night and beat estimates, although some are worried about mobile ads being an issue and Nikesh Arora leaving the company. But the earnings report showed a couple things advertisers here would be interested in, at least two things: (1) The new ad format used for AdWords ads in the search results, that blend in better, had a nice increase in click through rates and that lead to more money for Google despite lower CPC prices. Here are before and after on the ad formats: Old ad format: New ad format: (2) Google broke down where the paid clicks came from in more detail for the first time: Aggregate paid clicks, which include clicks related to ads served on Google sites and the sites of our Network members, increased approximately 25% over the second quarter of 2013 and increased approximately 2% over the first quarter of 2014. Sites paid clicks, which include clicks related to ads we serve on Google owned and operated ...

Google Search Analytics Report Data Missing; Google Working On A Fix

If you are missing data in the Google Search Console, you are not alone. Many are seeing Google skip over July 28, 2015 data in Search Analytics.     Google’s Search Console, formerly Google Webmaster Tools, is having a data issue with their Search Analytics report. Data for July 28 is missing from the report, and there are widespread reports of the issue. Although not everyone is affected, I am able to replicate the issue across my account. If you scroll over the Search Analytics chart, you will see it skip from July 27 to July 29, completely missing July 28. I created this animated GIF showing the issue: Gary Illyes from Google told me that Google is aware and is working on fixing the issue.  Ref: http://searchengineland.com/google-search-analytics-report-data-missing-google-working-on-a-fix-226791
